Community Meeting June 21, 2023
The June 21 Community Meeting was attended by over 30 people in person, and another 30 or so online. The project team led by outreach coordinator Agnes Artemel made a presentation about their vision for the new building, the approvals process to be followed, initial architectural concepts for the building and a courtyard for residents, and the overall timeline up to residents being able to move back in.

UDAC Reviews Ladrey Redevelopment
On July 26, 2023, the Old Town North Urban Design Advisory Committee (UDAC), composed of five members appointed by the Alexandria City Council, reviewed Ladrey redevelopment project proposals to ensure they comply with the Urban Design Guidelines for Old Town North

Planning Commission Reviews Ladrey Redevelopment
On January 04, 2024, the City of Alexandria Planning Commission, a seven-member decision-making body appointed by the City Council with the authority to approve or deny requests for the subdivision of land or development site plans, reviewed the Ladrey development project. The Planning Commission voted unanimously (7-0) to approve Ladrey's project requests for Master Plan Amendment #2023-00006, Rezoning #2023-00004, and Development Special Use Permit #2023-10011.

Alexandria City Council Approves Ladrey Redevelopment
On January 20, 2024, the Alexandria’s City Council voted unanimously to approve the Planning Commission recommendation of approval for Ladrey's project with three additional amendments.
